Born in Ecuador to immigrant parents and having immigrated to Canada in 1989, my personal journey profoundly shapes my professional purpose. This firsthand experience with relocation and integration ignited a lifelong commitment to supporting vulnerable populations and newcomers navigating complex transitional pathways. As a fully bilingual professional fluent in English and Spanish, I have dedicated my career to breaking down cultural and linguistic barriers, providing empathetic, high-quality advocacy across every role I fulfill.

My academic foundation began in Toronto, where I earned a Bachelor of Social Work from York University in 1994, followed by a Post-Graduate Diploma in Community Work from George Brown College in 1995. Armed with this robust training, I served as a dedicated Social Worker for nine years, specializing in child protection and family welfare within Children’s Services. This formative decade sharpened my crisis intervention, case management, and advocacy skills within complex regulatory frameworks.

In 2008, I relocated to Edmonton and transitioned into the resettlement sector, working as a Settlement Worker for Catholic Social Services at the Mennonite Centre. In this capacity, I guided diverse newcomer families through the logistical, socioeconomic, and cultural realities of establishing a life in Canada. Seeking to deepen my impact within the legal sphere, I obtained my Immigration Consultant Certification in 2012. For over a decade since, I have operated as an Immigration Specialist within prominent law firms, seamlessly marrying deep human compassion with precise technical and legal counsel.

To further elevate my legal capabilities and expand the scope of my practice, I am currently completing my Paralegal studies at Robertson College in Edmonton.
